Called customer service and waited a half hour before someone informed me that there were no replacement parts for that model, and oh, by the way, yeah, sorry. Top-Freezer Refrigerator Platinum Finish I purchased this fridge for my new apartment. The delivery men were rude, and almost refused to bring it up 20 steps to my apartment on a rainy day without me paying them extra. I had no one to help me with the fridge, and after pleading for help, they finally agreed to drop it for me. The fridge is a manual defrost, which means a thick 1-1.5" frost/ice wall forms on the back. The food at the back of the small fridge freezes, I have ruined a TON of food because the back freezes while the front keeps food at the temperature (5) that I like. :( Very disappointing. I called to return/exchange this product for an automatic fridge. Customer service (even management) refused, stating they don't take returns after the product is delivered. I explained that they had not made it clear on the advertisement that it was a manual defrost (you have to unplug it every 2 weeks, remove all the food, and then scrape out the ice in the freezer AND fridge). Top-Freezer Refrigerator Platinum Finish I've had this Avanti for 3 years now, I love it. It's a good size for a single household, runs quiet and keeps my food at a constant temperature. I haven't noticed any inconsistencies in the freezer if I keep it properly defrosted. Mine was delivered to the curb, while a bit inconvienent it certainly beat the $75 delivery fee the 'other guy' was charging. A great product for the money, I would definitely buy again. |
